Stop Chasing Goals. Become the Woman Who Already Has Them.

You've probably heard people say, "It's not about achieving the goal – it's about who you become along the way."
If you're anything like I used to be, you rolled your eyes at this. It sounded like motivational fluff – the kind of thing people say when they're trying to make failure feel better. A consolation prize wrapped in pretty words.
I was wrong. Understanding why changed everything about how I approach goals in my business.
Here's What I Discovered
You literally have to become the person who achieves that goal. Not after you achieve it. Before. During the messy, uncomfortable middle part.
Think about it: if your goal is to hit six figures this year, who is the version of you that consistently earns that kind of money? She probably makes offers without apologising. She follows up with prospects even when it feels pushy. She raises her prices when her calendar is full. She says no to opportunities that don't align with her vision.
That version of you doesn't just magically appear when you hit the income target. She has to show up first – scared, imperfect, but consistent – so the results can follow.
Why This Changes Everything
Once you become that person, you're unstoppable. Even if your current strategy flops, you don't panic and quit. You adapt. You try a different approach. Because you've already become someone who consistently takes action, asks for what she wants, and doesn't give up when things get uncomfortable.
You now have infinite energy to test and iterate in your business – because consistent action is simply who you are.
The Flip Side (And Why Most Goals Fail)
If you try to achieve your goal without changing who you are, you stay exactly where you started. You remain the version of yourself who procrastinates on the scary stuff, who makes excuses when it's time to promote your work, who plays it safe instead of taking the risks your dreams require.
That's not wrong – it's just limiting. And if you want to achieve something you've never done before, you need to become someone capable of doing what you've never done before.
My Half-Marathon Truth
I'm training for a half-marathon right now. Over the past few months, I've become the person who gets up at 5 AM and runs in the cold, dark morning even when every cell in my body is screaming "stay in bed."
Come July, when I cross that finish line, the real victory won't be the medal or the race time. It will be that I've become someone who commits to uncomfortable things for long-term gains. Someone who shows up for herself consistently. Someone who no longer negotiates with herself about following through.
I don't waste mental energy on "Will I run today?" anymore. I just run. Because that's who I am now.
The Business Application
The same transformation happens in business. When you become the person who consistently creates content, makes offers, and follows up with leads – regardless of how you feel that day – your business changes. Not because of a perfect strategy, but because of who you've become.
The process gets easier as you evolve. The resistance fades. The "hard" things become simply what you do.
That's why the real gold in pursuing any goal isn't the achievement itself – it's the person you become willing to be in pursuit of it.
Your Next Step
Look at your biggest business goal right now. Ask yourself: Who is the version of me that has already achieved this? What does she do differently? How does she show up?
Then start becoming her today. Not when you feel ready. Not when it's convenient. Today.
Because she's the one who's going to get you there.
